I try to read at least one non-technical book a month and the ones bellow are some of my all time favorites.
Tibes by Seth Godin
Great book on leadership.
His Needs Her Needs by Willard Harley
Building a marriage is no easy task. This book did a great job helping both my wife and I understand each other and the differences between men and women.
Thou Shall Prosper by Rabbi Daniel Lapin
This book did a great job at explaining why the Jewish people are so prosperous. Rabbi Daniel teaches you how the Bible and Jewish traditional has viewed money and work. Personally this book entirely changed how I view money.
How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie
I never knew you could learn this stuff. Dale Carnegie is the man and this is one of my top 3 favorite books ever.
The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey
This book has been one of the most influential books in my life. American’s as a whole just don’t know how to properly handle money and this book gives you the tools to win.
The E-Myth Revisted by Michael Gerber
Although this book was written for businesses to make the leap into winning franchises I got a lot from it. The same processes can be used to improve departments and jobs through organization and defining processes.
The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell
John Maxwell is well known for his many books on leadership. This is like everything condensed into one cram packed manual. Perhaps the one key I’d pass along to you is that there isn’t just one key.
Millionaire Upgrade by Richard Cordock
Richard did a great job at putting shoes on Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. I may even say I recommend this book over Think and Grow Rich since understanding the concepts was more accessible.
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Some say this is the second greatest book on business. I’d probably disagree with them but some of the concepts are quite valuable. Creating a team or inner circle was probably some of the best advice in the book.
Talent is Overrated by Geoff Colvin
Wow, great book with the main focus being talent is an excuse for dedication and practice. What about savant? Well they’re no exception and the book debunks that too.
FREE: The Future of Radical Price by Chris Anderson
Fantastic book and you can download it for free at audible.com. Take the plunge and see if free is the way your pricing model should go.
The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley, and William Danko
I would have never guessed that the majority of millionaires weren’t rock stars or CEO’s of large enterprises. Great book that really gives you insight into the normal millionaire.
From Good to Great by Jim Collins
LOVE IT!
Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson
As things change so rapidly this book is more relevant than ever before. If you find yourself in a dieing career don’t just wait for it end, find some new cheese!
